The CANM8 TOW DETECT Interface produces a 12v+ output whenever trailer electrics are connected to the vehicle 12N towing socket. Particularly useful for providing an auxiliary towing warning or for use with a speed limiter. The CANM8 TOW DETECT can also be used in the de-activation of rear parking sensors when a vehicle is towing either a trailer or a caravan.
The CANM8-TOW DETECT is only for use with vehicles which don't have a CAN Towing Module fitted. If your vehicle has a CAN Towing Module already fitted, please contact us directly as we can provide an alternative solution for you

The interface incorporates a multi-function status LED, which indicates correct connection to the CAN system, CAN activity present and confirmation that the CAN identity has been recognised.
