The CANM8-IDR8 interface has been constructed to provide 8 trigger outputs relating to specific vehicle equipment operation, for direct connection to an Incident Data Recorder. As the interface only requires 4 connections to the vehicle, IDR installation time is significantly reduced.
As with all CANM8 interfaces, the unit is connected to a permanent 12v supply and features an automatic, low-current 'Sleep Mode' when CAN activity is not present.
The standard output configuration of the interface is detailed below:
- Ignition On
- Left Indicator Switch Active
- Right Indicator Switch Active
- Brake Lights Switch Active
- Side Lights Switch Active
- Head Lights Switch Active
- High Beam Switch Active
- 12v High Resolution Speed Pulse
With the exception of the Speed Pulse output, all outputs are rated to 1A with overload protection as standard.
The standard output configuration can be altered to customer requirements and alternative interface designs with additional output capabilities are also available. Please
contact us for further details.
