CANM8-MERCPARK Mercedes Specific CAN Bus Parking Sensor Control

The CANM8-MERCPARK interface incorporates a unique Speed Dependent Output, specifically for the control of Front Parking Sensors from the vehicle CAN Bus. A 12v controlled output is generated by the interface as soon as speed is detected and switched off while the vehicle speed is above approximately 6 MPH.

Additionally, a timed 12v output is provided when Drive gear is selected. The output is automatically deactivated when Park gear is selected. 

If a continuous 12v control signal is required, a seperate output provides a signal while the vehicle is at standstill, terminating at speeds above 6 MPH.

The MERCPARK interface also features a negative control output which can be used to power a front parking sensor system for forward motion use only. This has the effect of disabling the front sensors while the vehicle is reversing so as not to create confusing tones from front and rear sensors at the same time.

In addition to the 2 speed dependent outputs available, a standard speed pulse signal is also provided and a 12v reverse gear output is available to many applications*.

Compatibility

MERCPARK is compatible with all automatic Mercedes vehicles featuring CAN Bus control and can be connected to the High Speed or Low Speed networks.

PLEASE NOTE: For manual gearbox Mercedes vehicles, please use the CANM8-PARK interface.

The CANM8-PARK Interface should be connected as below:

RED              Permanent 12v+
BLACK         Ground (0v)

WHITE          CAN HI
BLUE            CAN LO

PURPLE**   12V+ At speeds between 1 > 6 MPH
ORANGE      12V+  At speeds between 0 > 6 MPH
BROWN       12V+ 'Reverse Gear' output (1A Max)
PINK              0V (Gnd) (disabled when reversing)

GREEN         12v+ Speed output (150mA Max - 1Hz / MPH approx.)

** The PURPLE wire also produces a 12v+ output when the automatic gear selector is moved from Park to Drive. This powers the front parking sensors for low speed manouvering.
