A common problem associated with the conversion of Opel / Vauxhall vehicle models for use as Emergency Service and 'Amber Light' vehicles is the inability to activate the central locking system from outside the vehicle while the engine is running. This is an important requirement for vehicles fitted with 'Run-Lock' devices in order to maintain the security of the vehicle while operational at scene.

The CANM8-V_LOCK1 interface overcomes this problem by re-activating the remote locking system using the vehicle CAN Bus system, while the ignition is on or the engine is running.

The vehicle can be locked and unlocked while the engine is running by pressing the respective button on the standard remote key.

If one of the doors is not latched correctly when the remote lock button is pressed, the system will not lock. With all doors closed, the vehicle hazard lights will flash 3 times to confirm a locked status.

When the vehicle ignition is switched off, central locking control returns to standard.

The CANM8-V_LOCK1  interface is compatible  with the vehicles listed below:

• Opel Vauxhall Asra & Zafira 2005 onwards.
  

Installing the interface requires only  four connections to the vehicle electrical system:

• RED          12v+ Permanent Supply
• BLACK      0v (Ground)
• WHITE      CAN Hi
• BLUE        0v (Ground)
